Business attire for the Triangle shaped body
The curvaceous triangular body type carries most of its weight on the lower part of the body, namely the hips and thigh area. For this shape the shoulders are narrower than the hips.
The key to dressing this figure is to restore balance by adding volume and drawing attention to the upper part of the body; also choosing items that help slim the hips and bottom area. Aim to create layers of visual interest on the top half of the body.
Medium to dark colors are best to help slim the hips and bottom while patterns are more suitable on the top half of the body. This all helps to balance out the body, yet still keeping that great womanly curvaceous shape.
Choosing clothes that will help this figure:
-Jackets with interesting detailing and structured shoulders.
-Simple flat fronted trousers that skim the thighs and bottom.
-Floaty tunics with lots of detailing on top.
-Lower waisted trousers – they give a slimming effect to the bottom.
-Shrugs and delicate shawls are great, as they add some bulk and detail to the shoulders.
-Beautiful and interesting accessories also bring attention to the bust, neckline and shoulders.
-Heels are great to add height and glamour
Avoid clothes that:
-Add bulk to the larger bottom half of the body
-Are tight and clingy
-Draw a line across the widest point of the body.
-Have horizontal detailing and stripes on the bottom half.
-Shoulder bags that rest on the hip.
-Also avoid shoes with straps across the ankle as they make the legs look thicker.
