Colored jeans were all the rage this summer and while they’re still big, big, big we’re a little more interested in this winter’s colored corduroy trend. Corduroy is a great sturdy material that not only keeps you warm in these chillier months, but adds a great texture and softness to any look. Traditionally a menswear item, corduroys now can be purchased by the whole family!
Corduroys look good dressed up or down. For women, we love the look of a bright pair of red corduroys, a navy and white striped sweater, a navy jacket, and metallic flats. For men, we are hoping to see some teal cords, a Fair Isle sweater, tan coat, and brown loafers! Cords can be paired into endless options and carried on throughout the spring and even into the summer months.
Corduroys are designed by most major brands. You can invest in a great pair from J Brand or simply pick up a more affordable option at Old Navy.
J Crew, Gap, and 7 for All Mankind have some great colored options this season in all variations of cut!
So give your tried and true blue jeans a break and slip into some fun and trendy colored corduroys!
P.S. Remember that tomorrow is the 4th Annual King Street Shop Walk! Purchase your ticket here. It would be the perfect opportunity to show off your new colored cords!
