4 Lipsticks
Lipsticks can be one of the hardest things to choose, but our makeup artist, Kristin of Finger Paint Makeup, has done the work for you! Check out her top four basics every gal needs.
Vincent Longo Nude

1)  A fresh, nude lip.   Whether this be a full on lip color, or a mix of shades topped with a gloss…finding the perfect nude lip will go a long way.

What to pair it with: A smokey, dramatic eye, which makes for the perfect evening combo.  Cheeks should be a sheer wash of color, nothing too bright or dramatic.  The star of the show here is your eyes.

FPM Pick:  Vincent Longo “Nude” – The perfect nude with a hint of peach.  Compliments many skin tones.  Wear alone or with a sheer pink gloss and you’ve got the perfect, natural pout.

2)  The perfect red.  I love a matte red lip, lined with a matching color to really stand out.  Lean more towards orange-red for warm skin tones and blue-red for cool skin tones.  Apply clear gloss on top if you’d like for some stand-out shine.

What to pair it with:  A winged black eye liner, neutral shadow and simple contoured cheek.

FPM Pick:  MAC “Russian Red” (blue-based red).   NARS “Fire Down Below” (orange-based red)

Revlon daring pink 3)  A poppy pink.  Pick a pink that’s closer to your natural lip color, but adds a fun pop.  The color should be toned down and wearable for day into night.

What to pair it with:  A black winged liner with a pink cheek.  Or try gold shadow, brown liner and a peachy/pink cheek.  There are a few options and you can have fun with this color.

FPM Pick:  Revlon “Daring Pink“.  Don’t let the name intimidate you…this shade is very wearable and not terribly bold.

Rimmel Burgundy Lustre

4)  The wildcard!  The last lipstick you need in your collection is something fun and trendy.  This Fall we’re seeing burgundy lips all over the place.  Burgundy is a deep purple/brown and a great color for the season.

What to pair it with:  Think Fall colors.  A subtle shimmery eye with brown liner. Cheeks can be a sheer, deep berry hue.

FPM Pick:  Rimmel “Burgundy Lustre”

Have fun trying out new shades!
Cheers,

Kristin
